Kristina Watt
Kristina was last seen with Third Wall as Rosalind in As You Like It and Kate in Harold Pinter’s Old Times. For Third Wall she has also appeared in Top Girls for which she received the first ever Rideau Award for Best Female Performance in 2008, Look Back In Anger for which she was nominated for a 2009 Capital Critic Award, Mother Courage And Her Children, Dangerous Liaisons, The Real Inspector Hound & The Seagull. Since relocating to Ottawa in 2002, acting projects include Love’s Labour’s Lost (National Arts Centre), The Optimists (GCTC), Medea (Magnetic North Theatre Festival/Fringe Festival), Talking With… (CanPlay Productions), A Farndale Christmas Carol (Gladstone Productions) and The Tempest (St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival). Previously, she trained and worked in the U.S. (primarily in New York and North Carolina), England (RADA and Central School of Speech and Drama) and Colombia, S.A. Highlights in the U.S. include performing with Eva- Marie Saint and Judd Hirsh in Death of a Salesman, and playing Irina in Three Sisters. Film/TV credits include One Life to Live, Bull Durham, and MTV Comedy Shorts. Alongside the GCTC, she is the artist/facilitator of “Uth Ink Ottawa “, an arts project that puts the dramatic voices of Ottawa’s youth on the streets. She also teaches in the Theatre Department of The University of Ottawa and at the Ottawa School of Speech and Drama. Kristina is also a founding member of the Shakespeare Ensemble.
As a member of the Resident Company she will appear in Blackbird and Antigone.
