We could not be more ecstatic about the partnership with the Ottawa School of Speech and Drama. As this is our Emerging Artist production, we are honoured to feature the graduating class of their pre-professional program in their final production. These emerging professionals will join with veterans of the Ottawa stage in a truly electrifying collaboration with a sharp new local translation.
The religious hypocrite Tartuffe has wormed his way into the once ordered household and vulnerable heart of substantial merchant Orgon. Under the guise of piety, he looks set to succeed in driving away the son, marrying the daughter, seducing the wife, imprisoning Orgon and leaving the family destitute.
One of Moliere's most famous and most sharply written satires, this classic story unmasks the true motives of these religious impostors who have plagued and manipulated people throughout the ages. It's funny! It's French! It's Fabulous!
